For Betsy, in loving memory

Betsy in sea of campanulae

Felines, Flowers and French Roast
is replacing my earlier plan to dedicate a website to my shamefully honest white lady cat 'Betsy' who loved a certain little slip of backyard-turned-into-catio. She loved being outside in the sunlight, surrounded by aromatic herbs and colorful flowers.
She loved it most when I was there too, petting her and occasionally sipping my coffee or reading a book. She would not have it the other way around: the 'occasional' referring to her.
Betsy passed away September 27, 2021. I miss my coffee buddy so much more than I ever thought I would miss any person.
Yes, that's what she was: a person. She took care of me, loudly 'telling' me when I was spending too much time on my computer or was too absorbed in an activity that didn't involve her.

Betsy on my desk, next to my coffee mug. In front a t-shirt I painted with Betsy, a book and a coffee mug"Betsy's Garden" (betsysgarden.eu) is the name I reserved for the 'memorial website', but I lacked the energy to build it all by myself.

As time passed by I saw that clinging on to Betsy this way would not bring her back to me. And maybe... who knows... her little soul needed me to release her so it could go wherever it wanted to go.

So Betsy turned into 'Feline' [the 's' for my other cats], her garden became 'Flowers' and I added our favorite pastime: sharing coffee breaks.

Dieogo, the red one eyed Persian cat missed Betsy a lot too. He still recognizes her on this photo and tries to touch her
What to Expect

Actually, the content won't differ entirely from what I had in mind for "Betsy's Garden": sharing my art and craft designs in the form of printable pages and free patterns.

Since writing is art and thoughts can be creative, I will post my experiments in those areas as well.
